    Department of Psychiatry

    The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Missouri-Columbia/MU Health Care is seeking a clinical psychotherapist or social worker to work with an adult population in an outpatient clinic setting. Openings for this position are at South Providence Medical Building and Battle Avenue Clinic. This is a full-time position with options for flexibility in work hours.

    • Monday – Friday (with flexibility in scheduling) - 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
    • 6 Hours per week paperwork time
    • 5 Days CME with $1,200 allowance
    • Quarterly bonus

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Social worker:
    A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Licensure as required for position.

    Psychotherapist:
    Master's degree in social work, mental health nursing, counseling education, psychology, or related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities can be acquired. Missouri licensure as a Clinical Social Worker, Psychologist, Professional Counselor, or Certified Clinical Specialist in Mental Health Nursing. One (1) year of clinical therapeutic experience in a medical setting.(Note: For some positions, three (3) years of clinical therapeutic experience in a medical setting working with a broad range of social, psychological, or behavior issues may be substituted for the licensure/certification. At least one of the three years of experience must be post-masters.)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    LCSW or LPC certification, Master's degree in social work, counseling education, psychology or related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired, is necessary. Working knowledge of various therapy models; Experience working with adults in an outpatient setting.

    Salary Range: $49,878 - $72,259/year
