CTT, a Kratos' company, is looking for a RF Test Technician (Associate Level) for it's San Jose location. This position requires an Active Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain one, if needed.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:


The RF Test Technician will be responsible for the tuning, testing and troubleshooting of RF/Microwave amplifiers in a clean room environment.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform tuning, testing and troubleshooting of RF/Microwave amplifiers to meet required specifications.
  • Understanding of basic RF and DC testing that is required in support of production hardware, including but not limited to Frequency, Gain, Gain Flatness, Noise Figure, Return Loss, P1dB Compression, second and third order intercept points, and DC Current.
  • Ability to use and understand standard test equipment, including but not limited to network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, scalar analyzers, noise figure analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies and power meters.
  • Must possess good dexterity and be able to work under a microscope for extended lengths of time.
  • Ability to analyze and document results for items tuned and/or tested.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment and able to meet targets/goals.
  • Able to understand and work from verbal instructions, test specs, wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Understand and follow all safety requirements, as well as ISO Procedures.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

  • Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one, if needed, is required.
  • Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the assigned duties.

  • Communicate and interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and public, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies.
  • Have a willingness and ability to learn and utilize company technology for company required purposes, including, for example training, reviewing and signing policies and procedures, benefits enrollment and changes, and more.
  • Computer literate and proficient with MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook) and various other computer software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a flexible environment with multiple competing deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain knowledge, skills, and abilities as it pertains to your job.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience or training.


WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Shop floor environment / workbench or workstation.
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion
  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
