Groundskeeper/Landscaper Reports to: Grounds Maintenance Supervisor
Type:
Non-Exempt
Essential Job Duties:
The essential job duties referenced below are important for the job to be accomplished. Other job duties may be required.
- Perform general landscaping, mow lawns, cut brush, remove dead trees and plant grass
- Clean debris from parking lots and culverts
- Perform cleaning and minor repairs and maintenance to fences, gates, signs buildings and other various equipment
- Rake and shovel asphalt to patch potholes
- Assist in the installation, maintenance and repair of sidewalks by shoveling, jackhammering, laying forms and pouring cement
- Assist in the installation, maintenance and repair of pipelines by excavating, laying pipe and backfilling
- Load and unload trucks as needed
- Shovel snow and spread salt on sidewalks
- Operate power tools and equipment such as saws, mixers, jackhammers, and mowers
- Act as a flag person
- Perform routine maintenance on water and sewer systems
- Clean vehicles and buildings
- Scrape and repaint surfaces using brushes and rollers
- Other duties as assigned

- Working with and near chemicals not limited to cleaning solvents
- Noise level in the work environment moderate

- Bending, reaching, pushing, pulling moderate
Pay:
$ $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
