    We are seeking a passionate and driven Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our data-driven solutions. We offer a challenging environment where you will have to grow, adapt, and use your skills consistently.

    Who You Are:

    As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Citian, you'll be expanding current projects and innovating new transportation solutions. You will have at least 2 years of experience developing and deploying full stack applications. You are willing to work alongside other developers to further build Citian's software lineup and complete contracted software solutions. You're a quick learner and adaptable and have a strong desire to progress through the company.

    As a self-starter, you are not afraid to take ownership of projects and can handle the challenges that come with a rapidly evolving startup. You are resourceful, innovative, and continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiency. Your strong communication and collaboration skills enable you to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.     Expected Duties:

    • Develop full stack applications, including both front-end and back-end components, web applications, and mobile applications
    • Collaborate with other developers through GitLab
    • Communicate deadlines and needs with other teammates
    • Research new solutions to transportation engineering problems
    • Innovate and brainstorm approaches to solutions through group sessions
    • Implement modern solutions and deploy production builds
    • Meet tight deadlines
    • Embrace the startup mentality by wearing multiple hats and stepping outside traditional job roles as needed. Your versatility and willingness to take on diverse responsibilities will be key to our success in a dynamic and evolving landscape.

    Required Skills & Experience:

    • Bachelor's in Computer Science
    • 2+ years of programming experience through work or personal projects
    • Portfolio of projects that demonstrate full stack development (web, application, or game development)
    • Experienced in modern web development tools such as Typescript, React, , NodeJS, Express
    • Ability to communicate about computer languages and their pros and cons
    • Strong understanding of Computer Science topics such as optimization and algorithms
    • Familiar with the design cycle and the concept of horizontal and vertical slices
    • Understanding of Python/SQL code and ability to retrieve and store data safely through a back-end
    • Demonstrate a deep understanding of creating and maintaining RESTful APIs, with proficiency in tools such as Postman for testing and debugging these interfaces.
    • Experience with cloud services, specifically AWS, and the ability to leverage its features for scalable back-end solutions is highly desired. (S3, Lambda Functions)
    • Ability to weigh the pros and cons of data structures for an implementation
    • Understanding of server structure, routes, and security
    • Excellent programming organization and documentation habits
    • Capacity to communicate solutions with teammates
    • Strong work ethic and desire to excel
    • Not afraid to innovate and propose new solutions
