At the Chair of Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components (PEM) at RWTH Aachen University, we research and develop product and production innovations that enable cost-effective and sustainable production of electrified powertrains and their individual components.

Together with our partners from industry and research, we work on solutions for the mobility of the future - from the initial idea to industrial application.


Research Group "Battery Production" (BP)

The research group "Battery Production Technology" at the PEM chair deals with topics related to the technologies for manufacturing batteries of current and next generations.

The spectrum ranges from process planning and design to plant optimization and the development of innovative production technologies for the batteries of tomorrow.

In addition to researching new technologies in our own pilot line - the "CELLFAB" - in the e-mobility laboratory (eLab) at RWTH Aachen, the team also focuses on implementing consulting and industrial projects to quickly transfer knowledge and results to the industry.

In diverse and challenging subject areas, you will work closely with executives and employees of leading OEMs, automotive suppliers, machinery and plant manufacturers, as well as other renowned industrial partners.
