Description

Under the general supervision of the BCLA Dean this position will conduct research on gender and U.S. politics, assisting with the editing and compiling of information for an edited manuscript.

The role includes some work with the Institute for Leadership Studies, alongside the Director, with assisting on the production of scholarly articles and manuscripts.

This job provides a significant opportunity for preparation for further graduate study.

Position Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Gather and compile data on recent national elections
Data collection and entry
Data cleaning and scoring
Perform comprehensive literature reviews and contribute to the preparation of peerreviewed manuscripts, grants, and reports.
Assist and perform statistical analysis and evaluation of research results.
Assisting on the production of scholarly articles and manuscripts
Perform other duties as assigned or requested

Requisite Qualifications
Minimum 1 year

Demonstrated computer competency and some knowledge of SPSS and EXCEL for statistical analyses.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
