Akira Technologies is seeking a Program Manager to help support our government client in modernizing their enterprise information technology services, which is vital to deploying their mission in disaster and relief programs.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop comprehensive strategies and objectives for interconnected projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple projects, ensuring seamless integration and alignment of efforts to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Act as Program Manager for existing contracts, overseeing project teams, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and budgetary constraints.
  • Work closely with Contracts Manager and Finance Department to ensure compliance with contractual agreements, budgetary guidelines, and financial regulations.
  • Lead and evaluate project managers and other staff involved in program delivery, providing guidance, support, and feedback to optimize performance.
  • Develop and control project deadlines and activities, monitoring progress and reporting on a monthly basis or as needed to stakeholders.
  • Assume responsibility for managing relationships with program vendors and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and alignment of interests.
  • Assess program performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives, aiming to maximize return on investment (ROI) and deliver value to stakeholders.
  • Resolve higher scope issues that may arise during program execution, employing problemsolving skills and leveraging crossfunctional expertise as needed.
  • Prepare regular reports for program directors, providing updates on program status, performance metrics, milestones achieved, and any significant developments or challenges.

Job Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree; PMP certified.
  • Proven experience as a Program Manager or other managerial position with 10+ years of program management experience, 5+ years of Agile portfolio management, 5+ years IDM management experience.
  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods.
  • Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software is a strong advantage.
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent problemsolving ability.
  • Experience working in government contracting or familiarity with government processes is a plus.
  • Experience working with government systems (i.e., SharePoint) and stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and follow through.
  • Ability to adapt and operate effectively in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
  • Working knowledge and experience of MS Office (e.g. MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel).
  • This is a US government contract and therefore US Citizenship is required.
