Job Description
Embark on an exciting journey of scientific discovery by joining our Psychology department as a Research Specialist I. The McLamore lab is a new lab at the University of Missouri focused on misinformation, pseudoscience, narratives, extremism, conspiratorial beliefs, gender and sexuality. The broad focus of research in this lab will be on understanding why people believe, spread, and endorse things that aren't quite true, and what can be done about these problems. We are seeking a motivated, organized, and driven research coordinator with an interest in these areas of research to assist in launching this new lab. As a Research Specialist I, you'll have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of research.
The target start date for this position is in August 2024.
Key responsibilities:
Typically, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, but schedule is negotiable as long as 40 hours/week
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Completion of the Collaborative Institute Training Initiative (CITI Program) within first two weeks after hire date as a condition of employment.

Salary Range: $16.72 to $18.50/hour
