Description
Position Overview:
One of my clients are looking for an experienced Concrete Estimator with a solid background in bidding concrete foundation and flatwork projects.
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in Bluebeam Take-Off software and preferably HCSS Heavy Bid.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the bidding process, accurately estimating project costs and timelines while understanding the intricacies of structural and site concrete projects.
Utilize Bluebeam Take-Off software and HCSS Heavy Bid to perform accurate material take-offs and cost estimations for concrete projects.Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand project requirements thoroughly.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for bid preparation.
Prepare detailed bid proposals, including cost breakdowns, labor estimates, material costs, and project schedules.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and construction methods related to concrete work.
Assist in value engineering and cost-saving strategies while maintaining project quality standards.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
~5-10 years of experience in concrete estimating, with a focus on foundation and flatwork projects.
~ Proficiency in Bluebeam Take-Off software and familiarity with HCSS Heavy Bid (preferred).
~ Strong understanding of concrete construction processes, materials, and techniques.
~ Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
~ Proven track record of successfully bidding and winning concrete projects of various sizes and complexities.
