Started in RI, College Unbound now supports students across multiple states and looks to continue to develop an infrastructure to support this developing model.


College Unbound (CU), located in Providence, Philadelphia, Chicago, Greenville and Seattle, is seeking a highly motivated
Grants and Gifts Manager to help advance the work of the development team in raising $4M annually.

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer (CDO), The Grants and Gifts Manager is responsible for researching, preparing, submitting, and managing grant and gift proposals and reports that support CU strategic planning goals and meet funder guidelines and criteria.

The Grants and Gifts manager will also maintain CU's development database and grants/gifts calendar.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage grant proposal development and submission, including grant research, preparation and organizing materials.
  • Write grant reports, collecting relevant information from CU team;
  • Maintain master calendar of grants and prospects and all associated files and correspondence;
  • Support leadership team in ongoing correspondence with foundations and major prospects;
  • Develop and maintain library of grant support documents such as resumes, bios, IRS forms, Board lists;
  • Maintain online donor and foundation database, making sure contacts are current and regularly recording grant and gifts made to CU;

Necessary Skills/Attributes:

  • 35 years experience in nonprofit and higher ed fundraising;
  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred; nontraditional education pathway a plus
  • Familiarity with and understanding of nontraditional students and/or studentdriven learning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Familiarity with fundraising databases, experience with Givebutter preferred;
  • Experience conducting research from primary and secondary sources to prepare and write grant reports and proposals;
  • Strong planning and project management skills;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Attention to detail and ability to provide constructive feedback.

Hybrid Office in Providence, RI or Philadelphia, PA or

Remote in Greenville, SC or Seattle, WA, or Chicago, IL


Pay:
$55, $60,000.00 per year

  • Fundraising: 1 year (preferred)
