Payroll Assistant

Shift timing: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Lunch: 1/2 hour (unpaid)

Location:20 W. State Street, Trenton, NJ 08625

Under the supervision of a supervisor, will berequired to learn how to utilize various types of electronic and computerizedinformation systems used by the division or related agencies.

Ability tocomprehend and learn the rules and regulations regarding salary and benefitcalculations. Ability to make arithmetic calculations quickly andaccurately by hand or machine. Prepares and processes claim benefitsusing computerized information systems, ensuring that all pertinent informationhas been included and is accurate. Reissue payments for lost and returnedchecks. Liaison with claim petitioners and various vendors; assist withclaim benefit questions and claim payee registration.
