    24/25 School Based Occupational Therapist Henderson, NC

    • Duration: August 2, 2024 May 23, 2025
    • Type: Full-time, Monday Friday, 37.5 hours per week
    • Supervision Requirement: Must be willing to supervise COTA
    • Caseload: Pre-K
    • Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days work from home/2 days onsite

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
    • Develop individualized treatment plans to address students' specific needs and goals.
    • Provide direct therapy services to Pre-K students in individual or group settings.
    • Supervise and provide guidance to two onsite COTAs.
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' participation in classroom activities and routines.
    • Assist in the selection and use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology to facilitate students' independence and accessibility.
    • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
    • Provide training and education to school staff and parents on strategies to support students' needs in various environments.

    Requirements:

    • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
    • Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in North Carolina.
    • Experience working with children and adolescents preferred.
    • Willingness to supervise and mentor COTAs.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to therapy.
    • Ability to adapt therapy interventions to meet the diverse needs of students.
