Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWalker Engineering is hiring a Senior Electrical Estimator for our DFW Branch at Irving.
The overall scope for the role of a Senior Electrical Estimator involves coordinating the total estimating effort for bids and projects, providing detailed input on complex projects, and reviewing proposal specifications and drawings to accurately determine project scope and estimates.
This role requires integrating historical data from various sources into unit and man-hour calculations, preparing comprehensive estimates by thoroughly assessing the scope of work, and maintaining detailed documentation for backup.
Additionally, the Senior Electrical Estimator is responsible for guiding junior estimators, contributing to the Preconstruction group, and handling additional tasks as directed by supervisors.
Essential FunctionsSafety Analysis:
Identify specific quality control and safety requirements for projects and include related costs in bids.
Field Operations:
Provide assistance regarding electrical estimates to field operations.
Estimating Software:
Skilled in Accubid, On Screen Take-off, Bluebeam and Excel
Conflict Resolution:
Lead and coordinate teams, resolving conflicts in the estimation process.
