Responsibilities:


Summary of Job:

The Office Manager (OM) works under the direct supervision of the Clinic

Director or Assistant Director (where applicable). Duties include, but are not limited to,

supervising front office staff (where applicable), greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling

patients, verifying insurance, collection of co-pays. The OM sets the tone of the clinic. She/he

must be cheerful and welcoming at all times.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Telephone etiquette
  • Computer usage
  • Clean front office work area and waiting area
  • Schedule patients
  • Verify insurance
  • Make follow up calls on patients and insurance
  • Pre authorizations for PPO, Tricare and workers comp
  • Collection of copays and coinsurance
  • Work closely with Billing office (collections list and keep Director apprised of status)
  • Enter PTPN foto intakes, follow ups, discharges
  • Manage front office and clinic supplies inventories
  • Supervise front office staff and ensure responsibilities are delegated and followed
through

  • Work harmoniously with Director and coworkers
  • Set example for the clinic staff
  • Strong work ethic
  • Develop rapport with fellow Office Managers share ideas
  • Other duties and tasks, as assigned

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year minimum front office experience in a Physical Therapy or Medical office
  • 1 year supervisory experience preferred

Qualifications:

  • Interest in physical therapy or related medical field
  • Understanding of and ability to perform outstanding customer service
  • Cheerful, positive, cando attitude
  • Willingness to go the extra mile

  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to follow directions and use sound judgment while performing duties
