Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Work with business and IT stakeholders to understand their data requirements and develop data solutions to meet those requirements.
  • Develop and manage operational system data architecture and implementation plan that supports business goals and objectives.
  • Work with various groups to understand the business opportunity and challenges related to digitizing the current business process and experience.
  • Understand the current business processes, legacy systems, their functions and interactions/integration with other systems to be able to develop a recommendation for the clients modernization project.
  • Work across technical teams and product owners to provide an architectural recommendation that extends the functionality of an existing digital marketplace AWS solution.
  • Ensure that data storage and retrieval solutions are in line with business requirements and optimized, by working with IT teams.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • 8+ years handson experience as an Enterprise Data Modeler/Data Architect.
  • Proven experience having led/participated in Data Architecture Strategy and Roadmap development and implementation.
  • Hands on experience with developing and implementing data architecture, data models, physical database designs, data integration strategy and design specifically for operational systems, systems integration, and analytical systems.
  • Experience with data management aspects of operational systems modernization and transformation to the cloud.
  • Knowledge and experience in various types of data modeling techniques including 3rd normal form, Canonical modeling, Dimensional Modeling, and Data Vault modeling.
  • Expanded experience with SQL Server (onpremises and on Azure), Azure and AWS platforms, NOSQL DBMS such as Mongo and Cosmos. Knowledge of AS400 platform and DB2/400 a big plus.
  • Proficiency in SQL. Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or MicroStrategy a plus
  • Deep Knowledge of data governance best practices, data quality standards, and data security protocols.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skill.
  • Strong collaboration and problemsolving skills.
  • Certifications such as TOGAF or CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.


CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications.

To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $61,000 - $213,800.
