OVERALL ROLE:

Control, process, and maintain materials inventory and work areas to assure the efficient and successful distribution and processing of materials needed in the manufacturing process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to operate fork lift trucks and pallet jacks in an efficient and safe manner.
Store completed production items and assure they are identified and their storage location is recorded.
Maintain materials inventory to assure timely delivery whenever needed.
Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment.
Assist staff and mechanics as needed.
Inspect and maintain safety of lift trucks, pallet jacks, and all other equipment needed to perform the duties of the material handler.
All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to lift boxes weighing 70 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend and stoop for long periods of time.
Ability to perform simple math calculations.
Ability to complete required paperwork accurately and neatly.
Ability to pass forklift training and handson test.
Must be dependable, punctual, good work ethic, reliable, good communication skills, good comprehension skills.
