- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on emergency vehicles such as ambulances, fire trucks, and police cars.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Conduct inspections and safety checks to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Install, repair, and maintain specialized equipment and components unique to emergency vehicles, including lights, sirens, communication systems, and medical equipment.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and service history for each vehicle.
- Collaborate with other technicians and departments to coordinate repairs and prioritize work orders based on urgency.
- Stay updated on industry developments, manufacturer guidelines, and safety protocols related to emergency vehicle maintenance.
- Provide support during emergencies or breakdowns, including on-call duties as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Uphold high standards of professionalism, teamwork, and customer service when interacting with colleagues and clients.
- Previous mechanical and electrical experience (110V, 12V)
- Vehicle upfits, radios and electrical a plus - Harness installation, schematics reading
- EMS, Fire or Law Enforcement experience preferred
