We are currently working with a leading global bank to find a Director of Financial Control to join their growing team in Frankfurt.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the control function to ensure compliance with relevant rules and regulations. You will also provide valuable financial information to the business to aid in decision-making processes and handle other financial control tasks to support the overall function.

As the ideal candidate, you will:

  • Have a thorough understanding of local regulatory reporting requirements and oversee the delivery of reports.
  • Present and manage the preparation of reports for key governance forums.
  • Manage management and statutory accounts, monthly balance sheet account attestation, and month-end and accounting close processes.
  • Assist with the preparation of information for internal and external audits and help resolve any finance-related audit points.
  • Act as the main point of contact for communication with German regulators on behalf of the wider finance team.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A professional accounting qualification and experience in regulatory reporting.
  • Experience in financial control and accounting.
  • A strong understanding of financial statements.
  • Fluency in both German and English.
