- Establish agency tax accounts and process payroll tax payments for related entities, and third-party franchisees via accounts payable, state websites, and other electronic methods.
- Prepare, process and file payroll tax returns for TAC and subsidiaries in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
- Maintain proper tax calculations.
- Reconcile general ledger tax liability accounts and investigate account differences and issues.
- Research and answer Federal, state, and local correspondence regarding payroll taxes, payments, and general account information.
- Remain current of any regulatory changes on Federal, state, and local levels.
- Establish and build relationships with taxing agents.
- Assist with special projects and perform other additional duties upon request.
- Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of Payroll Tax Compliance.
- Performs work under moderate supervision that is varied and that may be somewhat difficult in character, but usually involves limited responsibility.
- Solves a range of straightforward problems and analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and collaboratively on projects representing Finance and Accounting from a Tax perspective.
- Prepare Transaction Tax (Sales and Use, Business, Franchise and Gross Receipt) returns for monthly, quarterly, and annual filings on a timely basis.
- Register and prepare sales tax returns based on physical and economic Nexxus.
- Prepare Business License returns, annual reports, property tax and other miscellaneous returns.
- Respond to notices from tax authorities on sales and use and property tax matters.
- Prepare month-end reconciliations on tax-related accounts.
- Provide variance analysis related to tax-related accounts on the monthly P&L.
- Create and maintain a tax compliance calendar for each respective tax.
- Provide support for non-income state and local tax audits.
- Assist with the maintenance of a database of executed resale and exemption certificates.
- Maintain and organize files and tax records.
- Perform any other duties as requested by management.
- Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Two (2) years of experience in tax compliance matters including sales and non-income tax, property tax, along with preparation of business licenses for a national publicly traded retail company, including E-Commerce.

JOB SUMMARY :
As a member of the team, prepare and analyze financial and tax accounts, records, and reports. Determine taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations. Advise management regarding effects of business activities on taxes and strategies for minimizing tax liability. Confirm that TAC and its subsidiaries comply with periodic tax payment, information reporting, and other taxing authority requirements.
