Job Description:
Engineer as member of Global Product Engineering Turning team be responsible for development metal cutting tools, specifically turning tools and cutting inserts geometries; planning and executing projects independently as well as delegating responsibilities for completion of those projects accordingly.
Will also establish technical and functional requirements for products; perform concept design, Finite Elemental Analysis and calculations; conduct experimental analysis and lab testing for design evaluation and defining operating limits.
Interface with marketing, field sales, internal/external customers, technology and manufacturing teams in determining the need for and implementation of new products in production.
Responsible for maintenance and extension of current product lines; presenting products internally and externally.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferred with experience as well as Master's Degree.
Skills of Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS, TWS and Deform preferred) and 3D modelling experience (NX Preferred); Knowledge and experience in Manufacturing technology through the utilization of machine tools and related cutting tools; Lab testing by metal cutting and experimental analysis to evaluate engineered solutions.
Ability to apply statistical and other mathematical tools, design of experiment, etc. Project and team leadership skills. Disposition for travelling for support of development and customer project. Experience with applications in metal cutting. Distinctive team work ability, performance-oriented, technical ability to communicate, responsible, approach to systematic problem solving, one's own initiative.
