Sound good? (We think so, too) Here's what you would do:
- Leads all CPR, First Aid, and O2 related trainings for designated areas to ensure certification of staff during weekdays, nights and weekends
- Follow trainer guidelines and deliver class components as established by the YMCA of San Diego County and YUSA as established
- Maintain and organize participant rosters and paperwork per class
- File and submit certification paperwork for training participants
- Ensure availability and prepare training room prior to class start
- Prepare equipment, paperwork and program guides prior to class start
- Communicate with training participants on status and progress of their performance per class
- Ensure online registrations and payment confirmation of program participants
- Set up auditory and visual technology to set up presentations and group work
- Escalate concerns or issues to director as appropriate
- Tracks blended learning options to ensure all prerequisites for certification trainings are met prior to attending inperson sessions
- Promote the YMCA in a positive manner and keep member service as the primary objective at all times
"OK, I'm sold" What do I need to qualify?
- High School Diploma or GED
- ASHI, AHA, or ARC Instructor Certified
- 2 + years' of experience facilitating certification courses
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Time management
- Attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively, and adapt to communication styles as needed
- Ability to observe participants and provide corrective feedback
- Organizational skills
- CPR, First Aid, O2, & AED Certification must be obtained prior to first day
