Position Purpose

  • The Sexual Violence Prevention Project (SVPP) Assistant will work closely with the Associate Director & Director for Sexual Violence Prevention of the Student Wellness Center, to assist the SVPP team in the development and implementation of the presidential initiative to provide a comprehensive and mandatory fouryear prevention and educational experience for all Dartmouth undergraduate students.   • Demonstrated proficiency with Google Suite, MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent administrative, project management, scheduling, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage projects and events under tight deadlines and quality standards.
  • Exceptional communication, writing, and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to foster positive and productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Accurate attention to detail.
  • Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population.
  • High degree of flexibility, including the ability to work occasional nights and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
  • High degree of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and care.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 12 years of professional work experience.
  • Knowledge of topics related to sexual violence and sexual violence prevention.
  • Experience in graphic design including Canva or other design software.
  • Experience in marketing and social media (e.g., Instagram).
  • Experience working in a higher education environment or with collegeaged individuals.
  • Experience working with marginalized people (e.g., African-American, Asian-American, Faith-Based, International, Latinx, LGBTQIA+, Native American).
  • Training or experience in Student Wellness Center philosophies and approaches (e.g., motivational interviewing, bystander intervention, behavior change theory, social norms theory, etc.)
