- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with NSF's overall business objectives for the Food sector.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop HR teams supporting the Food business unit, ensuring alignment and collaboration across regions and laboratories.
- Talent Acquisition and Management: Lead recruitment and selection processes to attract and hire top talent across the Food Industry. Manage talent management and succession planning processes in collaboration with peers for consistency.
- Employee Relations: Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies. Promote a fair and inclusive work environment reflecting NSF's values.
- Compensation and Benefits: Monitor industry trends to ensure competitive rewards packages for employees in the Food and Beverage sector.
- Learning and Development: Implement training and career development programs aligned with the needs and growth plans of the Food and Beverage sector.
- Performance Management: Oversee performance review processes and provide guidance on setting performance goals.
- Employee Engagement and Well-being: Promote programs and initiatives to enhance employee well-being and engagement across the Food and Beverage sector.
- Legal and Ethical Compliance: Stay current with employment laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks related to HR matters.
- Minimum of 8 years of extensive experience in HR business partner and/or HR leadership roles within the food industry or related TIC sectors.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Business/financial acumen, proficiency with data analysis.
- Ability to drive organizational change and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Experience in handling sensitive employee relations issues.
- Must actively model all NSF core values: Do the Right Thing, Treat People Well, Relentlessly Pursue Excellence, and We Are One NSF.
- Ability to be hybrid (3 days/week) in our Ann Arbor office
- International/global human resource experience.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Ability to travel within the US and internationally to other NSF locations and acquisition targets % travel.

The HR Director (Food) will matrix into two Senior Leaders from the Food & Beverage business unit that has impact across the global food supply chain including areas such as food safety, retail, packaging, manufacturing & processing, organic, and storage & distribution.
