- Accounts Payable Management:
- Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Review and reconcile vendor statements, addressing discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare electronic payments and checks for vendors.
- Maintain well-organized records of accounts payable transactions.
- Accounts Receivable Management:
- Generate and distribute guest invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Apply payments to guest accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Assist in resolving guest billing inquiries and disputes.
- General Ledger Maintenance:
- Record journal entries and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Financial Reporting:
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Generate various financial reports and analyses for management review.
- Provide assistance during internal and external audits.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Support in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and offer variance analysis.
- Compliance and Controls:
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Maintain documentation and audit support.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to protect company assets.
- Ad-hoc Projects:
- Engage in special projects and initiatives assigned by management.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to facilitate decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Previous Hotel Accounting exposure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- CPA certification or working towards CPA preferred.
