Serco-NA is seeking a motivated Logistics Administrative Assistant to provide oversight for the COLUMBIA Class program office in Washington, DC.

This program office is responsible for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating the resources required for the R&D, design, construction, Test and Evaluation and Live Fire Test and Evaluation of the COLUMBIA Class submarine.

The program is a major defense acquisition program and is of significant political importance with Congress and the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for their Team Submarine contract supporting the acquisition of submarines.

The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities.

Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.


Responsibilities

  • Provide support to various Military Construction (MILCON) meetings by taking notes/minutes, documenting decisions, and scheduling.
  • Develop and maintain a digital library for the MILCON team to store applicable program of record documents.
  • Develop a method to track MILCON team action items and requirements.
  • Schedule follow up meetings with various stakeholders to ensure actions are understood and on track to complete as scheduled.
  • Develop briefs as required to show progress in relation to the MILCON effort.
  • Assist the MILCON team lead in the collection of source data and support the development of project schedules, plans and Plan of Action & Milestones as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Visio and PowerBI
  • Knowledge of the Navy correspondence manual, English grammar and NAVSEA letter writing practices.
  • Knowledge of managing meetings in Microsoft Teams.
  • Potential travel to Electric Boat and other stakeholder locations one two times a quarter, or as required (approximately < 25% travel).
  • Bachelors degree with minimum 2 years' experience in administrative type support
  • Secret Clearance required.
