    Description

    Position: Aftercare Support Staff
    Status: Part-time, Hourly (Monday-Friday 2:30-5:30)

    Primary Function: Aftercare Support Staff members are responsible for meeting the needs of the children, the program, and maintaining the classroom's well-being. Regular attendance is crucial for this role.

    Classroom Responsibilities and Duties:
    Support the Aftercare Coordinator by:

    • Actively supervising students with focus, even in the presence of distractions.
    • Monitoring students during playtime or organizing age-appropriate games and activities until snack time.
    • Assisting in snack preparation, supervision, and cleanup.
    • Overseeing homework, activities, or games after snack time.
    • Assisting in resetting classrooms or outdoor spaces and securing buildings when required.
    • Working in various outdoor conditions for extended periods.

    Additional Responsibilities:
    • Developing an understanding of Waldorf education and child development.
    • Participating in school activities, meetings, and professional development sessions as directed.
    • Completing other assigned duties.

    Required Qualifications:
    High school diploma, ability to adhere to Linden Waldorf School's guidelines and policies. A background check is mandatory before employment.

    Bachelor's degree in Education or related field, or equivalent experience. Familiarity with Waldorf education.

    Salary is determined based on experience and education level.
