- Perform feasibility assessments and support business plan development for infra structure ownership projects.
- Identify IRA/IIJA funding opportunities and lead grant and tax application efforts on behalf of clients.
- Support in ideation and project development for renewable energy projects optimizing for cost, carbon reduction, and/or resilience.
- Provide outsourced development support in areas such as project management, budgeting, application narratives, and community benefit strategy development.
- Develop tactical approaches to implement changes in strategy, service delivery and/or policy.
- Support senior level personnel relative to financial advisory and funding procurement in the areas of federal, state and local incentive programs.
- Work with teams in the execution of projects with multiple workstreams.
- Implement internal processes and templates as they relate to client deliverables and overall project management.
- Perform market research for clients on industry best practices as it relates to community benefits, job creation and labor engagement, decarbonization metrics, energy markets, and regulatory and policy landscapes.
- Assemble and manage project development plans and budgets on behalf of clients.
- Perform detailed financial analysis.
- Effectively support the presentation of conclusions and recommendations using visuals and written content.
- Bachelors degree in related field such as energy/sustainability, business administration, engineering, finance, public policy or other related field. Masters degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of consulting, energy project development, or similar experience required.
- Technical understanding of energy, sustainability, and decarbonization.
- Solid understanding of the energy regulatory and financial markets in the United States.
- A strong work ethic and willingness to take on a variety of roles and levels of responsibility in a dynamic and entrepreneurial setting. Must be a self-starter willing to lean into tasks and workstreams and identify approaches and risk to management.
- Specific experience with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Ability to demonstrate commitment to continuous learning to stay current regarding strategies and regulations, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of duties.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong writing skills are essential.
- Ability to travel for client engagements as required.

Responsibilities:We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Energy, Infrastructure and Tribal Services team. Baker Tillys Energy, Infrastructure and Tribal Services team serves municipalities, utilities, Tribal Nations, state and local governments. Since 2008, this group has been involved supporting the development and/or funding of over $4 billion of energy and infrastructure projects that are either operating or under construction.
As a Senior Consultant, you will work with a select group of professionals aligned in an entrepreneurial and dynamic environment, to assist clients with solutions to help them meet their strategic, resource optimization, and capital procurement needs as it relates to energy infrastructure, broadband deployment, renewable energy development and economic development.
