Position Summary:
This position is part of a highly collaborative, driven team that enjoys researching and implementing new systems and technologies to foster an increase of business value.
The increase in business value will be mainly project driven, which includes implementing database systems that support new technologies, migration efforts due to infrastructure upgrades, and working with data analysts to expose data to enable them to develop reports with the focus on deriving additional business value.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting Graton Resort & Casino's core values and demonstrating Exemplary Service Standards at all times.
- 2. Maintain several SQL Server database clusters used for core business operations.
- 3. Troubleshoot production database issues.
- 4. Monitor and analyze SQL performance in order to improve database performance using SQL Spotlight or other tools.
- 5. Assist in the review, design and implementation of the database environment.
- 6. Automate routine tasks.
- 7. Perform security functions, such as compliance related reporting on database activity.
- 8. Assist the Planning and Analysis team with gathering the proper data for business reporting. Assist with automation processes and aid in performance analysis and optimization of reporting.
- 9. Afterhours and weekend oncall availability for production issues.
- 10. Create, maintain and organize technical documentation for all property information systems.
- 11. Investigate business solutions, technologies, and opportunities that can benefit the organization and/or their area of responsibility.
- 12. Participate in IT infrastructure operations and management during a pandemic.
- 13. Familiarization with Azure Data Administration.
- 14. Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
- 2. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or equivalent experience.
- 3. Solid experience (8+ years) administering SQL server databases. Experience with SQL Server and SSRS. 4. Microsoft DBA Certification.
- 5. Strong knowledge with failover clustering, replication and other high availability technologies.
- 6. Knowledge of data warehouse space, custom ETL design and implementation.
- 7. Two (2) years' experience in managing projects effectively, and utilizing resources appropriately to ensure a timely, quality product.
- 8. Ability to work well in a highly team driven environment.
- 9. Gaming and hospitality domain knowledge.
- 10. Ability to perform well under pressure
Physical Requirements:
- Position requires after hours and on-call availability (tier 3), daily work schedule.
- 2. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
- 3. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
