George Fox University's Athletic Department is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to serve as our Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance and Administration.

About the Job:

The Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance and Administration is a full-time professional staff role that provides comprehensive administrative and compliance support to the George Fox University Athletic Department. This position works collaboratively with the Athletic Director, Associate Athletic Director for Operations, Marketing and Communications staff, and all head coaches to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the department. The role combines strong organizational, administrative and finance skills with a commitment to integrity, institutional compliance, and the mission of George Fox University to develop Christ-like character through sport.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Compliance (NCAA Division III / NWC / University) | 25%
  • Ensuring full compliance with NCAA, NWC, and university rules and regulations.
  • Maintaining institutional control of the athletics compliance system and verify student-athlete eligibility.
  • Serving as the primary liaison with the NCAA, NWC, and university departments.
  • Overseeing recruiting compliance, data collection, and required reporting.
  • Leading compliance education and investigating potential rule violations.
  • Office Management | 20%
  • Providing administrative support to athletics leadership and managing office operations.
  • Maintaining department and student-athlete records, including the athletic handbook.
  • Supporting coaches with administrative procedures and supervising student workers.
  • Financial and Procurement Management | 35%
  • Serving as the primary point of contact between Athletics and the University's Finance and Procurement offices.

  • Maintaining athletic department petty cash funds and assisting coaches and student-athletes in cash reimbursements.
  • Ticketing | 20%
  • Managing the setup and operation of HomeTown Ticketing software.
  • Overseeing season ticket campaigns and ticketing for all home athletic events, including football, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, and NWC conference events.
  • Coordinating with marketing, game management, and finance to ensure a smooth ticketing experience and accurate revenue tracking.
  • Supervising student workers in the Athletics office.
  • Communicating effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect and customer service.
  • By actions, words, and lifestyle, be a Christian role model to students, whether through casual contact or in a formal supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross culturally with respect, appreciation and humility.
  • Other duties as assigned.

We're looking for candidates who have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, financial, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing, including on telephone, and to understand and follow instructions.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to manage efficiently and courteously a diverse group of constituents.
  • The ability to work weekends and evenings.

Preference Will be Given to Those Who Have the Following Attributes:

  • One to two years experience working in intercollegiate athletics administration, compliance, university operations, or accounts payable.
