Description
The St. Joseph's Home is a facility for children, youth, and elderly care in Westwood, NJ. Our unique feature is providing care for children, youth, and seniors under one roof.

Currently, we employ approximately 180 staff members in various areas of the facility and are supported by 50 volunteers in our important work.


In our
Therapeutic Children and Youth Home, which includes inclusive spaces, we care for 19 children and youth in three residential groups, ranging in age from approximately 3 to 18 years old.


In our
Therapeutic Day Care Center for preschool-aged children, we care for 8 children between the ages of 3 and school entry.


We are currently seeking a
Psychologist (m/f/d) for our Psychological Specialist Office for 30 hours per week, starting on September 1, 2023 or later.

The hours are divided as follows:22 hours for the Therapeutic Children and Youth Home
8 hours for the Therapeutic Day Care Center for preschool-aged children


Your main responsibilities:


  • Diagnosis and therapeutic planning.
  • Documentation and report writing.
  • Crisis intervention and needsbased therapeutic intervention.
  • Counseling families in the spirit of a partnership in parenting.
  • Professional advice for group staff and management.
  • Facilitating case teams in consultation with management.
  • Participation in the admission process.
  • Support in the further development of the concept.
  • Acting as a "experienced professional" according to § 8
