- NEW PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
- Tracks R&D PR/PO's and manages tooling build time to assure project milestones are met. This will include tooling for hardware development and fabric. Supports yearly launches for all Branded products in North America.
- SAP MANAGEMENT
- SAP proficiency required to manage Procurement, tracking and date needed. Will also need an understanding of the Master Material data to assist with gathering data for the Data Stewards completing PCN setup.
- PROCUREMENT
- Places and manages R&D PO's in SAP for NPD materials and services. Coordinates preparatory services of fabrics performed by outside suppliers to ready them for testing. Tracks shipments and deliveries to ensure product development milestones are met. Expedites delivery of materials as needed. Tracks shipment of materials and places tracers with delivery companies on undelivered materials. Pulls information together as needed for Data Stewards setting up PCNs.
- COMMUNICATIONS:
- Works in and with Core Product Teams and Product Engineering, Supply Chain, Product Management, Quality, Finance, and Operations to bring new products to market, and manage sustaining Engineering changes to existing materials. Maintains open lines of communication with vendors and internal production plants. Completes orderly transition of Procurement responsibilities to Supply Chain to support effectivity dates and launch schedules.
- PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
- Manages the procurement and material readiness for Engineering and Alpha test builds, fabric for the testing process and photography needs pre-launch. Present applicable status to Core Product Teams and all levels of management, including progress, current actions, issues/risks and accomplishments.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Position requires regular and predictable attendance.

- Basic knowledge of some principles of engineering to understand product development processes.
- Basic knowledge of the compositions of component materials and the changes they undergo during the production process.
- Basic knowledge of the compositions of fabric and the changes it undergoes during the
- manufacturing and fabrication process.
- Solid knowledge of the manufacturing properties of plastic, and metal.
- Solid knowledge of the computer use and software such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MRP system.
- Expert knowledge of the principles of purchasing and computerized purchasing systems such as MRP.
- Expert knowledge of the principles of negotiation to aid in working with suppliers of goods and services on prices and terms of delivery.
- Skill in developing and maintaining effective work relationships with department representatives such as, Engineering, Accounting, Product Management, Quality Assurance and suppliers.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative in pursuing alternate sourcing techniques of suppliers of goods or services for development
- Ability to use creative problem-solving techniques to resolve issues where there are delays in delivery of goods.
- Ability to use professional discretion in working with highly confidential proprietary information.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and technical drawings.
- Annual base salary range: $66,000 - $74,000
- Bonus target range: 5 - 10%

Position Overview
Will work alongside Product Engineering and Product Management teams to assure cost effective and on-time product introductions. Reporting to PMO, it is the responsibility of this Buyer to manage R&D materials and supply chain start up activities consistent with product development timelines. Will manage key activities such as: Engineering & Alpha Builds, Tooling, Fabric testing and Photography needs. In addition, this Buyer will coordinate data to be used by the Data Stewards to complete PCN setup. This role will support all launches for Branded products in North America.
