    Description

    HotFoot Recruiters is excited to partner with a multinational sheet metal manufacturing company to fill the position of Safety Specialist. This role will play a crucial role in ensuring workplace safety and compliance with regulatory standards.

    Position: Safety Specialist

    Type: Full-Time; Direct Hire

    Location: North Phoenix, Arizona

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the manufacturing facility to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
    • Lead safety training sessions for employees to promote a culture of safety and ensure understanding of safety protocols.
    • Investigate and document incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
    • Collaborate with management and staff to develop and implement emergency response plans.
    • Maintain accurate safety records and prepare reports for regulatory agencies and company management.
    • Stay current with industry safety standards and best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement of safety processes.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a safety role at a sheet metal manufacturing company.
    • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
    • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., OSHA 30-hour, CSP, ASP) is highly desirable.
    • Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to effectively convey safety information to employees at all levels.
    • Proven ability to conduct thorough investigations and analyze incidents to determine root causes.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
    • Demonstrated ability to foster a positive safety culture and influence employee behavior regarding safety practices.
