How you will Achieve More with Intellia:

We are looking for a talented Scientist to join the Nuclease Engineering team in the Gene Editing Platform Group at Intellia.

You will get the opportunity to drive diverse projects that will advance Intellia's gene editing capabilities to enable the development of tailored therapies for complex genetic diseases.

You will be responsible for platform projects involving the development of different genome editing technologies in the pre-clinical space using various biochemical or cell biology techniques.


Additional responsibilities include:

  • Design and execute multivariable experiments to investigate the CRISPR-Cas9 and derivative tools
  • Perform comprehensive data analysis and troubleshooting experiments
  • Present scientific findings in team

- and cross-functional meetings
  • Document experiments in a timely manner using electronic laboratory notebook system
  • Comply with laboratory safety regulations

About You:


You are a highly motivated, goal-driven, and a team-oriented scientist, who is excited about new challenges and a proven track-record in the gene editing field.

You have a deep understanding of CRISPR-Cas9 or other relevant technologies, and extensive experience with biochemical and cell-based assays to evaluate the function of the gene editing technologies.- Ph.

D in Biochemistry, or Cell/Molecular Biology with 0-2 years of relevant experience, or MS with 5+ years of relevant experience- Hands-on experience in various payload delivery methods and mammalian cell culture- Comprehensive knowledge of CRISPR-Cas9 and experience in NGS data analysis- Organized, detail-oriented, and a demonstrated independent thinker- Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, and strong problem-solving skills

This group is responsible for the development of CRISPR-Cas9-based gene editing tools to advance Intellia's platform to enable curative therapies.

As a part of the Gene Editing Platform function, you will have the opportunity to broaden your experience with multiple cutting-edge gene therapy technologies.


The team works on-site to execute workflows in a wet-lab environment, therefore applicants should be local to Cambridge, MA or open to relocating.
