Description

This position is a member of the Nextworld Product Management team which is responsible for defining the next generation of game-changing Enterprise Resource Platform solutions.

A Senior Product Owner oversees and manages the deliverables for product development for their functional area(s).

Responsibilities include aligning features with strategic business objectives to dynamically adapt to market demands and industry shits, as guided by the product management vision.

This role extends coordination, strategically molding requirements to precisely fit the overarching product strategy.

Expertly translates roadmap features into well-defined product requirements, including features, user stories, and acceptance criteria, while driving continuous Agile refinement, reassessing business needs, and steering priorities, milestones, and risk assessments.

Their advanced technological proficiency is demonstrated through the strategic leverage of tools like Jira, optimizing processes across the entire product development spectrum to maximize efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities

The Senior Product Owner will report to the Product Manager and:

Strategically refines the product backlog in alignment with the long-term product vision, prioritizing customer value and driving the product strategy forward based on product vision and market needs.

Assumes a leadership role in sprint ceremonies, not merely participating but steering discussions and outcomes in sprint review, planning, and retrospective meetings, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Enhances the quality of user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items by offering comprehensive, detailed, and innovative insights, ensuring robust readiness for development teams to drive exceptional outcomes.

Spearheads the management of the release backlog, collaborating closely with product managers to make informed decisions, optimizing value within resource constraints, and aligning releases with strategic objectives.

Leads and orchestrates refined backlog activities, leveraging expertise in story timing and sizing to streamline processes, fostering efficiency, and empowering teams to deliver high-quality results consistently.

Establishes and maintains comprehensive product documentation, including user guides and release notes, ensuring accuracy and coherence, and serving as a vital resource for stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Actively engages in daily Scrum stand-up meetings, not just to share progress and blockers but to provide guidance and insights that elevate team performance.

Leads the facilitation of collaboration among inter-team and cross-team stakeholders, ensuring alignment towards sprint goals, fostering cohesive teamwork, and driving collective success.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required, preferred major in Supply Chain
5+ years of experience in ERP with SAP, Oracle, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or J.D. Edwards
Prior experience within the Distribution industry or in Inventory Management
Prior experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager is desired
Prior experience building Enterprise business software is preferred
Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies preferred

Preferred Qualifications

Expert in Distribution functionality for ERP systems with experience in Inventory Management.
Proven management and communication skills
Ability to consolidate market requirements, align to our corporate objectives, and prioritize what is essential to define the market strategy
Strong writing skills are necessary for defining the software requirements
Experience building a healthy culture that is inclusive, collaborative, and accountable
Ability to foster collaboration between groups and develop scalable processes, balancing quick decision-making with long-term objectives
Passionate about Nextworld and our goal to change and improve the way people work and make companies more successful
Strong empathy for the customer and a desire to build products that delight customers
Ability to understand a dynamic competitive landscape, synthesize customer feedback, and build and adopt a strategy that differentiates the Nextworld in the market

Starting Salary Range:
$110,000 - $130,000 depending on experience

Position located in Greenwood Village, CO. Nextworld's hybrid model has co-location in-office days on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
