Duties As a SECURITY SPECIALIST , GS , you will: This position is located in Advanced Programs Office (APO), Special Access Program (SAP)Branch of an Air National Guard (ANG) Wing supporting fighter or bomber aircraftThe purpose of this position is to serve as a security specialist and security advisor, providing oversight and management of multiple security disciplines (information, personnel, industrial, physical, computer, operations and communications security) in support of special access programs (SAPs)
To provide specialized security policy and support for Special Access Programs to ensure the mission is not compromised; provide an effective security program to insure that information and material affecting national defense are protected from unauthorized disclosure, espionage and sabotage; ensuring granted individuals access to program information is clearly consistent with the interest of national security and defense
Requirements Conditions of Employment
Essential Personnel:
This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.
Specialized Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-9 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization
