    Assistant Civil Engineering Manager at GAI Consultants

    GAI Consultants is on the lookout for an Assistant Civil Engineering Manager to join their team. This exciting position is based in either our Pittsburgh area offices, Warrenton, VA office or Richmond, VA office. As part of this role, you will be involved in supporting business development efforts, overseeing projects in the Power Generation sector (with a focus on renewables), and taking the lead on civil engineering tasks. We are seeking a motivated individual who is eager to step into a leadership and management role.

    Job Duties:

    • Site Layout/Grading Plans
    • Erosion and Sediment Control Plans
    • Stormwater Management Plans
    • Hydrologic and Hydraulic/Drainage Plans
    • Utility Design and Relocation Plans
    • Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Plans
    • Geotechnical Investigations
    • Permit Applications (earth disturbance permits, building permits, land development plans, high occupancy permits, etc.)
    • Stream and Wetland Delineations and Associated Permits
    • Cultural Resource Investigations and Concurrences
    • Rare Threatened and Endangered Species Consultations and Concurrences
    • Construction Drawings, Specifications, and Quality Control Plans
    • Construction Cost Estimates
    • Owner's Engineer Support during construction
    • Field Investigations
    • Technically lead engineering tasks in area of expertise
    • Successfully delivery of scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and profitability
    • Plans and manages small to medium value task, with a single or dual discipline focus and a low to medium risk profile
    • Willingness to travel to Project sites, as needed, primarily in the mid-west and mid-Atlantic region of the United States
