- Complete admissions and discharges
- Supervise nurses and CNAs and ensure adequate staffing for their and oncoming shifts. Coordination of last-minute staff shortages
- Monitor residents' condition and assess their needs to provide the best care and advice
- Observe and interpret patient's symptoms and communicate them to physicians
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for residents
- Perform routine nursing duties, adjust and administer residents' medications and provide treatments according to physicians' orders
- Conduct daily audits of all new admission charts. Investigate all incident reports and follow up
- Participate in managing staff and assignments to ensure quality of care. Train new nurses
- Additional duties as needed
- Possess Nursing License (RN or LPN) within state, in good standing
- Two years of skilled nursing experience required
- Work independently, problem solve, and manage conflict
- Know resident rights. Help residents/patients exercise and protect their rights
- Maintain confidentiality of resident/patient information
- Follow and adheres to policies and procedures implementing HIPAA requirements for the privacy and security of protected health information
