Two Years of Admissions Experience Preferred

As admissions coordinator, you manage admission and discharge assessments as well as supervising the team of nurses and caregivers.

You will:

• Complete admissions and discharges
• Supervise nurses and CNAs and ensure adequate staffing for their and oncoming shifts. Coordination of last-minute staff shortages
• Monitor residents' condition and assess their needs to provide the best care and advice
• Observe and interpret patient's symptoms and communicate them to physicians
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for residents
• Perform routine nursing duties, adjust and administer residents' medications and provide treatments according to physicians' orders
• Conduct daily audits of all new admission charts. Investigate all incident reports and follow up
• Participate in managing staff and assignments to ensure quality of care. Train new nurses
• Additional duties as needed

You Have:

• Possess Nursing License (RN or LPN) within state, in good standing
• Two years of skilled nursing experience required
• Work independently, problem solve, and manage conflict
• Know resident rights. Help residents/patients exercise and protect their rights
• Maintain confidentiality of resident/patient information
• Follow and adheres to policies and procedures implementing HIPAA requirements for the privacy and security of protected health information
