    Location: Kansas City, MO (Candidates residing in Dallas, TX and Portland, OR are encouraged to apply and will also be considered)

    Midland Industries is excited to add a dynamic and engaging Inside Sales Representative to our growing team in Kansas City, MO. The Inside Sales Representatives are responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to provide solutions for their specific needs in tandem with expert-level customer service. Sales Representatives must be familiar with practices, concepts and procedures in sales relying on their extensive experience and judgment to plan and achieve various company goals overseeing the daily and long-term operations of the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have an enthusiastic approach for helping others in a fast-paced environment, an eagerness to learn, and a passion for the art of the sale.

    Essential Functions and Basic Duties

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to understand their needs and requirements.
    • Recommend service and product enhancement to improve the sales potential and customer satisfaction.
    • Identify and reach out to potential customers within the Industrial, Plumbing/PVF, Waterworks or Irrigation wholesale markets.
    • Conduct thorough research on potential customers to understand their specific needs and pain points, enabling you to tailor persuasive sales pitches and effectively position our products as valuable solutions.
    • Convert leads into sales opportunities through effective communication and product knowledge.
    • Maintain technical and professional knowledge by reviewing professional publications, participating in professional societies, and establishing personal networks.
    • Plan for the achievement of individual and divisional targets in alignment with the strategies and policies of the company
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions, sales progress, and opportunities within Salesforce.
    • Efficiently process sales orders and coordinate with the operations team to ensure timely and accurate delivery to customers.
    • Stay informed about competing products and services.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • A bachelor's or associate degree in business, related field, or equivalent experience
    • Knowledge of the sales/buying process and relationship building and maintenance
    • In-depth knowledge of the fittings, nipples, valves, and plumbing specialties.
    • Five plus years of inside sales experience preferably in the Industrial, Plumbing/PVF, Waterworks or Irrigation wholesale markets.
    • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and other sales-related software tools.
    • Strong negotiation skills, persuasive communication abilities, and a customer-centric approach to sales.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
    • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively.
    • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and adept at thriving in a fast-paced sales environment.
    • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Passionate about the wholesale industry and committed to delivering top-quality customer service.
