Vital Nurse Services ("Vital") is currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in Pico Rivera, CA.
Prior experience working with students is strongly preferred.
Vital is a public-private partnership that provides medical, nurse, and behavioral intervention services to school districts and municipalities. This public-private partnership has proved to be a valuable program in the communities served.

Weekday availability and immediate start are required.

Responsibilities:

As a Vital Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting our school district clients.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide health services to students and staff members
Implement specialized healthcare procedures such as blood sugar testing, catheterization, blood pressure, oral suction, gtube feedings, seizure procedures, turning and lifting routines, etc.
Work with students, faculty, and staff to ensure the student's daytoday health needs are met
Evaluate the health and well being of students and staff members
Must maintain the confidentiality of information gathered while caring for students
Build rapport with students with physical, mental, or educational disabilities
Communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and faculty
Provide coverage throughout the student's school day (from the student's home to when they are dropped off after school)

Experience and Qualifications:

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Weekday (M-F) availability is an absolute requirement
Strong attention to detail, superior work ethic and integrity, and interpersonal skills
High level of energy and professionalism with a positive, teamoriented attitude
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Reliable transportation and punctuality required
Ability to handle behavioral issues

Compensation:

Compensation is between $30-$38 per hour
