Position Summary

This position resides in the Data Management team and is responsible primarily for maintaining product related master data in SAP & CATS/SPOMS/SPARCS/SPRx in support of mail and specialty pharmacy operations.

The Data Analyst will validate requests, then add/change or delete master data according to guidance given by internal business partners (i.e. Brand/Generic Contracting, Pharmacy Procurement). Analysts are also relied upon to effectively communicate about and coordinate efforts cross departmentally to implement complex changes.

What you will do:


  • Creation and maintenance of PBM Mail order and Specialty pharmacies product related master data, including: Item Masters and Vendor Masters.
  • Review work of other Consultants as part of the team's peer review quality control process designed to ensure performance that meets or exceeds expectations based on existing Service Level Agreements.
  • Interact with Pharmacy Operations/Professional Practices Pharmacists to setup or update specific product data in the Specialty systems, including drug product substitutions, safe handling guidance, how items are dispensed, etc. at Specialty pharmacies.
  • Interact with Materials Management teams in each pharmacy to coordinate complex data updates impacting inventory and inventory accounting.
  • Will also setup or update relevant data to enable dispensing automation processes.
  • Data Analysis, to support: data mining/cleansing activities, project research support, and ad hoc requests for data.
  • Project/BSR support, including: Identifying opportunities to improve process, providing business requirements, creating test use cases/scenarios, staging data in test systems, performing user testing, completing project implementation tasks.
  • Departmental documentation, including: Drafting of BSRs, Creation of detailed testing documentation, including: use case/test scenarios, expected results and actual results, creation/maintenance of BPPs, work with Sr. Consultant to provide feedback and/or make changes to department work instructions.
  • Other responsibilities include supporting capital projects and system enhancement efforts (i.e. data setup, test scenario documentation/execution) as well as performing basic ad hoc data analyses.
  • In addition, this position is responsible for executing daily, weekly and monthly reports utilized to ensure purchase price accuracy, crosssystem data synchronization, and new client onboarding.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 years of Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) or related Healthcare experience.
  • 25 years of data analysis experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills: Formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.
  • Must live within a 1 hour commute of the Scottsdale, AZ office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CATS/SPOMS/SPARCS/SPRx systems.
  • Pricing models experience
  • VBA experience
  • Drug File tables experience
  • MS Access experience
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification is preferred.

Education

  • College degree or demonstrated work experience in line with requisite job responsibilities is required.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:
$40, $85,100.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.

The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
