The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) Office of Emergency Management (OEM) Agency Emergency Operations Center (AEOC) Analyst has the primary responsibility for maintaining situational awareness of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey facilities.


PANYNJ OEM is seeking a highly motivated professional who likes challenge; committed to delivering high quality work that can work in a fast-paced operations center environment, manage tasks and act as the main interface with Port Authority Leadership and internal and external stakeholders concerning ongoing operations.


  • The AEOC Analyst receives information from diverse sources and proactively develop, collect, and vet initial and subsequent information
  • As a part of the AEOC team, analyst assesses and regularly reassess the scope and impact of incidents (local, regional, national), keeping PANYNJ Leadership, PANYNJ managers, internal and external stakeholders informed by providing continuous operational situational awareness through Alerts, notifications, reports and specific situational briefing documents

Qualifications:


  • Experienced in 24/7/365 working environments with extensive coordination/collaboration with multiple stakeholders from federal/state/local agencies
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to multitask within different platforms to maintain situational awareness of current events or tasks pertinent to the customer and stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, identify solutions, and exercise independent judgment.
  • Patience and flexibility in responding to frequently changing requirements and/or management styles.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of people throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Collects, Analyzes and Processes Data for action and reporting.
  • Able to think critically and communicate highly complex information accurately, clearly, and in proper context while working collaboratively in an oftenstressful team environment.
  • Assist leadership by maintaining common operating picture for the PANYNJ

Salary Range:
$48,000 to $55,000
