Description
Job Summary/OverviewThis Position supports Engineered to Order and Sanitary production areas by performing a wide variety of machining tasks.At times, this position will support the Vertical machining area by manufacturing Engineered to Order components and "Build to Order" components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manufacture new components, rework and modify existing components. Run and operate the Bridgeport NC mill, Engine Lathe and other saws and drill presses. Support Vertical Machining area by manufacturing engineered to order and build to order jobs.Partner with engineering department on projects Performs quality checks and measure finished parts using hand measurement tools, (micrometers, calipers, plug gauges & profilometers) to determine if they are within tolerance.
Performs basic PMS and performs 5S in area. Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities A team player with excellent communication skills. Strong mechanical aptitude and solid blueprint reading skills. Ability to be flexible and adjust priories to reflect changing needs or job demands. Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail. Required Qualifications Strong machining background with 2 + years machining experience preferred.About Columbus McKinnon:
