Quality Control Laboratory Manager - Statesboro, United States - Nexien Inc
Description
The Lab Manager is responsible for the execution of specific project phases and lab work requests. In collaboration with project/program management, quality engineering, and other organizational entities. This high visibility role will plan, staff, and ensure that adequate resources are available to meet the needs of the business. This position takes a lead role in defining success criteria and goals for the various projects in addition to delegating work to support staff as required. The position oversees the work on technical workstreams such as new product introduction, raw material changes, product testing, and root cause analysis.
Responsibilities:
Plan and manage the assigned Lab work request projects to include timeline development and planning on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual timescale.
Conduct test methodology in accordance with published standards, (ASTM, ISO, etc), and, where required, design test methods to replicate end use along with determining a root cause of product
field performance issues.
Participate and/or contribute expertise with cross-functional initiatives.
Summarize testing results and recommend next steps.
Consistently provide input on project progression, making necessary adjustments to keep all
project(s) on planned target delivery timing.
Prepare detailed project reports for presentation to internal and external stakeholders.
Analyze and resolve work issues/concerns and assist co-workers with problem solving.
Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science in Laboratory Science or 3-5 years equivalent work experience in a Tier 1
automotive industry
Experience in polymer or material science, and automotive paint applications and testing
required.
