Summary:

To supervise the fleet technicians in diagnosing equipment failures and service. Ensure repairs to the equipment has been completed in compliance with OEM specifications and DOT safety regulations and requirements.

Schedule:

Wed-Sat 530am to 530pm - working 3 twelve hour shifts one week, followed by 4 twelve hour shifts the next, continuing to alternate weekly.


Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervising equipment repair functions and fleet technicians

Plans, organizes, assigns, and directs the work activities of the fleet technicians

Trains fleet techs in work principles, procedures, and policies and to maintain appropriate production levels

Ensure quality of repairs in accordance with customer requirements, OEM specs and DOT regulations

Maintains work records, tracking and reporting as needed

Assists fleet techs with more difficult and complex repair duties and projects

Perform other duties as needed


Minimum Education:

High School Graduate or GED
ACE certifications a plus
Possess a CDL


Experience Requirements:


  • Strong understanding of mechanical processes
5-7 years with 1-3 years prior supervisory experience


Experience Preferred:

Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and analytical skills


Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements:


Able to move freely throughout the garage facility to include climbing vertical heights '); carrying tools and equipment pounds); exposure to extreme temperatures Degrees Fahrenheit); humidity, %), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available).

Must be able to wear protective equipment. Able to make road service calls in all weather conditions
