As we continue to grow, Tetra Tech has multiple opportunities for entry level Transportation Engineers to work with a top-notch team of highway/traffic engineers and transportation planners. We focus on advancing complex roadway/highway infrastructure projects and we are a recognized leader in the planning, permitting, and design of transportation projects throughout the Commonwealth. We are proud to be designing major projects within our region such as the I-90 Allston Multimodal and the Rutherford Ave/Sullivan Square corridor in Boston.

Location: This position is based out of our Marlborough, MA office, located in the Marlborough Technology Park, which is easily accessible from major highways and full of amenities such as a cafeteria, game room and gym. We offer a hybrid work environment with the flexibility to work from home and in the office.

Your Role:

Designing intersections and roadways from inception to completion

Designing horizontal geometry, profiles, and grading

Working on Complete Streets, green infrastructure, design pavements, markings/signs, including highway guide signs

Preparing Temporary Traffic Control Plans

Developing quantity takeoffs, cost estimates and specifications

Performing field work and data collection in a variety of environments

The ideal candidate possesses:

0-3 years of experience

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering

EIT certification preferred

Beginner to intermediate AutoCAD/Civil 3D design skills

Experience with other computer software applications within the civil engineering field (ideally SignCAD, AutoTurn, etc.) desirable but not required

Ability to work in a team environment with staff from different disciplines and backgrounds

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Requires successful evaluation of a motor vehicle record (MVR) check and maintaining a safe driving record
