    About the Job

    We currently have an exciting opportunity for Senior Manager, Corporate Tax, to join the Tailored Brands Corporate Tax team.

    The Senior Manager, Corporate Tax will primarily be responsible for overseeing the management of Tailored Brand's US federal and state and international income tax operations.

    The position will manage an internal tax professional and maintain strong relationships with external compliance co-source and outsourcing providers. Additionally, the position will be responsible for federal, state, and international tax accounting, audits, automation, and special projects. This is a hybrid position with our team working at the Houston Corporate office one day per week.

    What You'll Do | Key Accountabilities


    • In conjunction with the Senior Manager - Tax Operations, oversee the company's US income tax accounting function, including quarterly calculations, return-to-provision process, and discrete items. Review and/or prepare all book-tax differences.
    • Partner with external tax providers as part of income tax compliance co-source arrangement.
    • Compile satisfactory IRS responses.
    • Manage day-to-day tasks of direct report(s).
    • Hire, develop, and review direct report(s) with an eye towards succession planning across the tax organization.
    • Lead special projects with 3rd party consultants.
    • Implement process improvements across the federal, state and international tax landscape, working with internal technology resources to ensure department technology strategy alignment across functions, and alignment with overall finance modernization objectives.
    • Identify and implement best practices within tax compliance and accounting.
    • Advise department on new legislation and interpretations of existing regulations.
    • Work cross-functionally with other Accounting and Finance teams as needed.
    • Lead US international tax calculations and compliance as well as Canadian provision and compliance.
    What You'll Bring | Skills & Experience


    • Possesses 10 years' tax experience in either a large US multinational and/or CPA firm supporting domestic operations.
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting required; MST and/or CPA a plus.
    • Possesses 10 years' tax experience in either a large US multinational and/or CPA firm supporting domestic operations.
    • Working knowledge of Excel required; Alteryx and OneSource Tax Provision preferred.
    • Ability to understand and respond to a variety of organizational stakeholders, identifying when to resolve issues and/or obtain assistance from internal team members, supervisors, or outside specialists.
    • Ability to influence internal stakeholders, co-sourcing firms/advisors, and governmental auditors.
    • Development mindset in approach to direct reports, with ability to establish and act upon development plans.
    • Ability to work with peers when forecasting departmental resource needs, adjusting short-term plans as required.
    • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, developing processes, and utilizing technology to improve work streams.

    • Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily.
    • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
    • Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment.
    • Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from a hybrid location near our Houston Oak Park corporate office.
