Position Description
POSITION TITLE:
Secretary
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of two years of higher education or an Associate's Degree
- Proficient in using computers, accurate in word processing, and skilled in keyboarding
- Familiarity with standard office equipment and procedures
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
REPORTS TO:
Principal or Administrator
PURPOSE:
To support student success by aiding the Principal or Department Administrator with daily clerical tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality
- Ensuring timely preparation of correspondence and documents
- Assisting with typing and filing as requested
- Performing general clerical duties
- Welcoming visitors in a friendly manner
- Completing other secretarial tasks as assigned
- Creating a safe environment for students
- Providing support to students in non-academic areas
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT AND EVALUATION:
Salary, work schedule, terms of employment, and evaluations will be as per the negotiated contract.
