OVERVIEW
PREREQUISITES
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a bartender in a fine dining setting
- Extensive knowledge of classic cocktails, call drinks, beer, wine & spirits
- Have the ability to work fast & efficiently under pressure
- Have the ability to multitask & handle highvolume
- Have the ability to effectively communicate guest issues or operational concerns
- Be wellorganized, detailoriented & socially perceptive
- Be an active team player & receptive to direction
- Be able to deliver an excellent customer service experience
- Be able to lift heavy objects
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Rapidly & accurately prepare alcoholic & nonalcoholic beverages for dinein & takeaway services
- Cultivate a meaningful rapport with new & returning guests
- Maintain efficient & friendly service standards
- Greet & water guests; offer order suggestions & answer guests' questions
- Verify identification & age requirements of guests drinking alcoholic beverages at the bar
- Communicate with other departments about specific guest requests & needs
- Take food & beverage orders & input/course properly into POS (Aloha)
- Ensure timely delivery of food & beverage orders
- Open & maintain tabs; process payments
- Keep the bar neat, pleasant & fully stocked
- Polish & store glass, plate & silverware
- Refill & prep garnishes as needed
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean & sanitize bar area, tools, & equipment
- Follow & execute all side work lists provided by the Company
- Strictly adhere to health code guidelines
- Effectively & respectfully delegate tasks to the barback
- Assist with the running of food &/or drinks when needed
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
- Valid food handler card
- RBS Certification
