    Description

    Currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join an accomplished renewables solar/BESS/Wind developer engaged in greenfield, codeveloping, and M&A opportunities. Based in Houston, this is a hybrid in-office position.

    All the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Assist in designing electrical systems for large solar or wind projects.
    • Create or review technical drawings and layouts for power systems and cables.
    • Handle various electrical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, and inverters.
    • Perform engineering calculations for analyzing power flow and safety measures.
    • Review and contribute to technical sections of project proposals and contracts.
    • Aid in estimating project costs by preparing initial designs.
    • Review vendor equipment to ensure it meets company and client standards.
    • Ensure compliance with industry and client regulations and standards.
    • Provide guidance to suppliers during project construction.
    • Oversee project installation and commissioning processes.
    • Ensure projects meet federal, state, and local engineering standards.
    • Visit project sites during construction to offer technical support.
    • Analyze test results from electrical installations and equipment.
    • Work independently with minimal supervision.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Legal authorization to work in the USA without needing sponsorship.
    • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering.
    • Professional Engineering (PE) license in at least one US state.
    • Minimum of 7 years' experience in engineering utility-scale PV Solar, BESS, and Wind projects.
    • Proficient in AutoCAD, ETAP, CYMCAP, WinIGS, and PVsyst engineering software.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively in team or individual settings.
    • Familiarity with office software like Word and Excel.
    • Strong technical communication skills and ability to interpret engineering plans.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, applying professional knowledge to various tasks.
