A company in Machesney Park, IL is looking for a Operations Manager for a 1st shift opportunity.Responsibilities:
- Plan the allocation of resources (equipment, people, materials and systems) in order to achieve performance targets.
- Create a daily job assignment schedule for the department.
- Communication to production team regarding performance expectations, performance needs, and safety standards.
- Responsible for cordinating the training of new employees on all aspects of the shop floor, procedures, and equipment.
- Monitor daily metrics such as attendance, floor productivity and through put.
Qualifications:
- Must have a vast knowledge of manufacturing, production shops, process improvement, and manufacturing equipment and machines.
- Prior CNC machine shop experience strongly preferred.
- Must have prior management experience in a production manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed, 56 day work week is typical.
- Must have good knowledge of safety practices, quality inspection systems and processes, and lean manufacturing knowledge.
- Strong pc background. ERP/MRP, excel and other shop programs.

Salary info:
